Yes, that’s exactly what the American Idol top 8 results show was last night, one huge blunder. From the act, if you can call it that, to the phone calls, to the lame jokes, it was one of the worst results shows I have ever seen.
American Idol Top 8 Blunder One
Let’s start with the Clark Brothers? Who are these people and where did they come from? I heard they won The Next Great American Band. I would hate to have seen the rest of the competitors. They sang This Little Light of Mine and they totally ruined the song. Screaming, screeching banshees is all I can say.
American Idol Top 8 Blunder Two
The dreaded phone in segment of the results show is still ridiculous. They either need to not broadcast the questions on a huge screen, or Ryan Seacrest needs to become a better magician. He cannot ask what song Michael wants to sing on the tour and have American Idol geniuses showing a question for Simon Cowell about his bag of insults on the screen. Did you see how confused Michael was? LOL You better get it together Michael, or you will be the next to go!
American Idol Top 8 Blunder Three
How many truly believed the Ford commercial? Seriously, a little stereotyping for one, and next time let’s get some believable doubles for the Idols, guys. What a botched job, good thing Ford doesn’t really need American Idol. Finally getting to the final results, we have Ramiele Malubay stuck between Kristy Lee Cook and Brooke White. That didn’t look awkward at all, but thank goodness Brooke was finally where she belonged. I was hoping Carly Smithson would have been in Ramiele’s spot, but we can’t have everything we want. Ramiele Malubay was eliminated, Kristy gave her a hug, and the audience gave her a standing ovation. Love ya Ramiele, knew you wouldn’t have won, but was hoping to see you around for another week anyway. I was hoping Kristy or Brooke or even Jason Castro would have been eliminated this week. Which American Idol contestant did you want to go home this week?
