American Idol Stoops To New Lows | Alicia Keys Perfect Mentor?

American Idol has had some strange mentors, but Alicia Keys?  I'm not even going to begin why she is NOT a mentor.

Casey James is singing Don't Stop and I love him, but I'm not impressed.

Randy - good performance, not the best.
Ellen - great guitar playing; not great
Kara - were amazing, but tonight was jam bam
Simon - amazed of the song choice; no originality; lazy song choice

Lee DeWyze is singing The Boxer and it's great!  Lee improves every week!

Randy - a great artist who will have a big career
Ellen -  beautiful song choice; seeing better and better from him
Kara -  connected to the song
Simon -  best of the night, lol, sincere, emotional, inspirational


Tim Urban is singing Better Days and he is struggling as usual.  Can't hit the notes, flat, and can't handle the song.

Randy - ok, karaoke
Ellen - soup of the day; didn't like the soup today
Kara - wasn't the best performance
Simon - improved, but this was a little bit of a let down

Aaron Kelly is singing  I Believe and he is doing a great job; better than Tim.

Randy - arrangement was funny, but he did a good job
Ellen - big voice; handled it real good
Kara - great job
Simon - real world...  not very good.  He made it good; ending was very good

Siobhan Magnus is singing When You Believe very smoothly until the chorus, now she's screaming.  She's just too inconsistent.  Here comes the excuses.  She cannot take criticism

Randy - picked a tough song; just ok
Ellen - more confirmation why she's here
Kara - technically well done, but very dramatic
Simon - don't think it was the right song choice; leaves were distracting

Big Mike is singing Hero

Randy - held his own, it worked out
Ellen - great job
Kara - not favorite performance
Simon - sang it pretty well, but it was about Spiderman, not inspirational

Crystal Bowersox is singing People Get Ready and she was great!  Then she broke down

Randy - standing ovation
Ellen - excellent
Kara - thank you for taking a risk; schooled all those contestants
Simon - that was inspirational; happy to see her emotional; she's in a different class

American Idol is heating up for everyone.  Crystal Bowersox showed some emotion that every American Idol wannabes are feeling.  Tough decision.  Who will go home?
