American Idol results were a bit encouraging when Adam landed in the bottom 3.
But, that didn't last long because Matt was there, too.
Remember, American Idol is a popularity contest, not a singing contest.
The most shocking part of the show was when American Idol winner Taylor Hicks performed. He is skinny as a rail... or more disturbing... he looks like he has a disease.
Ryan Seacrest even mentioned it and Taylor said it was the touring and such.
I'm not sure because I've never toured, but I don't think anyone touring looks sickly. Losing weight maybe, but not sickly.
It was about time Adam Lambert landed in the bottom, but I was upset that Matt was sent home.
I guess it doesn't matter who you like... Whoever is going to win, is going to win.
Pictured is the American Idol winner Taylor Hicks when healthy, I wish I could have gotten a snapshot of him tonight during his performance... it's like night and day.

American Idol | Simon Was Wrong!

American Idol | Who Was The Mystery Mentor?
American Idol celebrated the Rat Pack era tonight and Jamie Foxx was the mystery mentor.
Kris Allen was first singing The Way You Look Tonight and 3 of the American Idol judges loved it. Simon Cowell thought it was good, but wet.
Allison Iraheta sang Someone To Watch Over Me next and all 4 judges liked the performance, however Simon doesn’t think she “wants” to win.
Matt Giraud sang My Funny Valentine and although I loved it, only Paula and Simon agreed with me. Simon thought he was the most authentic of the night; brilliant.
Danny Gokey sane Come Rain or Come Shine and Wow! He was good! All 4 American Idol judges liked it.
Adam Lambert sang Feelin' Good. All the judges were gaga over him, but I thought it was an okay performance.
Simon thinks Allison may be in trouble tomorrow night.

American Idol | Disco Duck Did You See That?
Wow, American Idol pulled a fast one!
Right off the bat Ryan Seacrest escorted Lil Rounds across the stage. Then BAM… sent her home!
Kris, Adam, and Danny were safe, while Anoop had to take a seat across the stage.
The biggest shocker for me was when Ryan told Matt Giraud he was safe and that Allison was in the bottom 3! Wow, Allison?
Anoop Desai and Lil Rounds were both eliminated tonight. Thank you for voting in my poll. Most of you were right on the mark!
American Idol just keeps us on our toes, don’t they?
American Idol | The Case Of The Flip Flop Judges!
The American Idol judges have gone tone-deaf, and they flip flop more than a politician.
Adam Lambert gets praise for switching up a song to make it his own, while other Idol wannabes are criticized.
Matt Giraud is condemned for resembling Justin Timberlake, but Adam Lambert is a sexy looking Elvis.
Past Idols were chastised for grabbing the audiences hands during performances, but Adam Lambert is “working the audience” when he does it.
The American Idol judges have turned a blind eye and a tone-deaf ear concerning Adam Lambert and it’s nauseating.
I’m not saying he has no talent, but he isn’t a David Cook, either.

American Idol Used The Save!
American Idol used their first save tonight!
Idols Anoop, Lil, and Matt were in the bottom three.
Anoop was sent back to the couch leaving Lil and Matt.
Former American Idol contestant Jennifer Hudson, performing If This Isn't Love that hordes of people are pre-ordering for the May 5th release, was having trouble with her earpiece.
Miley Cyrus tried to “rock out” Climb, but her prom dress ensemble just didn’t cut it. Great song, though as millions are pre-ordering for its April 28th release.
American Idol wannabe Lil skipped back to the safe couch when Ryan Seacrest announced Matt would have to sing for his life and he did just that.
After the 4 judges deliberated, Simon Cowell gave us the good news.
The American Idol judges will save Matt Giraud!
American Idol meets disco next week. Stay tuned!
American Idol Gets A Time Out!
American Idol has always brilliantly implemented damage control, but they’ve really messed up this time.
Adding a 4th judge has only taken time away from the Idols and caused the show to over-run.
Simon Cowell blamed the girls for the time snafu, so they decided to only have two judges critique each of the Idols.
Simon finally knocks Idol wannabe Adam Lambert down a peg. He told him half of America loves him and half can’t stand him. I’m in the latter group. Screaming is not singing.
The rest of the Idols did fair, but what did they expect with Quentin Tarantino as mentor? He’s a great director, not a singer.
Lil Rounds is in trouble along with perhaps Kris Allen and Matt Giraud. Hopefully Lil will go.
Which American Idol wannabe do you see leaving? Vote now!

American Idol Blindsides Scott and Simon!
American Idol began their results show blindsiding Simon Cowell with an older Idol, Frankie Avalon!
My first thought was, WOW! He looks fantastic! How old is this guy now? Well, he was born in 1939, so he will be celebrating his 70th birthday. He doesn't look a day over 30!
After that awesome visit, American Idol gets down to business with the results.
Anoop, Scott, and Lil took the seats of shame last night.
I was hoping Anoop and Scott would win sending Lil home, but that wasn't the case.
American Idol wannabe Scott McIntyre was sent packing. No judges save, nothing. I like Scott, I think he has more talent than Lil, but obviously not many shared my opinion.
We're down to 7 remaining American Idol contestants. Watch this weeks performances at American Idol.

Which Idol Got Simon Cowell On His Feet?
American Idol judge Simon Cowell is known for his straight-forward, sometimes rude critiques.
Simon lived up to his reputation for American Idol contestants like Kris Allen, Lil Rounds, and Scott McIntyre.
However, the last 20 seconds of the show had Simon on his feet for none other than Adam Lambert.
I thought Adam was okay, but not standing ovation okay.
Matt Giraud singing "Part Time Lover" was my favorite.
Scott, Anoop, Allison and Kris were also good.
I have a feeling though that Scott might be in trouble again this week.
What do you think? Which American Idol contestant was the best? The worst? Leave your opinion before you go.

American Idol Boots Megan Joy... Hard!
American Idol had me going last night during the results show.
Ryan Seacrest was moving those American Idol wannabes like they were puppets.
Allison in the bottom 3 surprised me. I can't believe Idolmaniacs think she deserves the bottom 3 because of her clothes.
But, hallelujah, Megan is going home! Simon was more than blunt about it, too. Megan made the remark that she didn't care and Simon said we don't either, goodbye! lol
I read an interesting article at usmagazine.com on the American Idol judge Kara Di-whocares. Seems like there's trouble brewing.
Will the new American Idol judge get the boot as well? Stay tuned!

American Idol Judge Simon Cowell Is Always Right; Here’s Why!
American Idol judge Simon Cowell seems to have the magic touch. He tells his American Idol wannabes when they need to pack their bags and he’s usually right.
After the show, I tried voting for my favorite Idols.
Some numbers connected okay like Scott MacIntyre, but when I tried Matt Giraud’s number, all I got was air.
Scott sang “Just The Way You Are” and I thought he did fabulous and so did the judges.
Matt Giraud sang “You Found Me” by The Fray and I thought he also did a great job, however the judges didn’t like him at all.
I tried 9 times without success and finally the tenth call went through for Matt. Coincidence?
Like last week, every survey I read suggested Matt Giraud safe, yet he was in the bottom 3.
It’s anyone’s guess then which American Idol wannabe will go home tonight.
