American Idol has been in the news quite a bit lately, with stories like:
American Idol judge Simon Cowell promised big changes for season 8, and he wasn’t lying.
Kara DioGuardi will be joining the judges table as the 4th American Idol judge.
Simon Cowell is your “nasty” tell it like it is judge. Randy Jackson is the laid back, tell it like it is but with more tact judge. Paula Abdul loves everyone so no one goes away sad.
What could a 4th judge possibly bring to the table? If she tries to be nasty like Simon, she’ll never live up to his shoes. If she’s another Randy or Paula; who cares?
I’m all for change, but if Simon wants to focus more on the contestants like he said then why another judge? That will take time away from the American Idol contestants.

Where Is Mikalah Gordon?
Mikalah Gordon placed 11th on American Idol season 4. Some loved her; some found her annoying.
Mikalah was just 16 years old when she auditioned for American Idol and received her golden ticket.
Since American Idol, she has been busy with acting and co-hosting. Mikalah Gordon was even assaulted at gunpoint in 2006!

Ryan Seacrest Half-Naked Insomniac!
Ryan Seacrest is in the news almost every day; there’s no way the guy sleeps!
Ryan does a radio show On Air with Ryan Seacrest, he’s an E! News anchor and he hosts American Idol.
Ryan Seacrest is also the permanent co-host of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.
Obviously, Ryan Seacrest doesn’t sleep because even with his busy schedule, he managed to go swimming in the Pacific Ocean last month, and be bit by a shark!
TMZ.com has this curious picture on their website. It is of Ryan Seacrest, and he’s half-naked!
Apparently, the picture, taken in 1994, is of a 19-year-old Ryan. TMZ is calling it ridiculous, but some of the comments are complimenting.
Regardless, Ryan Seacrest is half-naked and he must be an insomniac!

Kat McPhee | Remember Miss No Personality?
Former contestant Kat McPhee lost to Taylor Hicks in Season 5 of American Idol, not so much for singing ability as her lack of personality.
Post American Idol, Kat McPhee, 23, married her long time producer boyfriend Nick Cokas, 42. Kellie Pickler was her bridesmaid.
She told newsweek.com she wanted 15 kids, emulating Angelina and Brad. Wonderful role model, Kat; a baby producing home wrecker like Angelina.
In addition or her singing career, she was also a guest star on Ugly Betty and Lonelygirl15.
Kat McPhee is also pursuing an acting career with Crazy and The House Bunny.
Congrats Katharine, …er Kat McPhee, I’m sure you will have a wonderful life.

Brooke White Doing More Than Touring!
Brooke White auditioned in Philadelphia for American Idol singing “Like a Star.”
Throughout American Idol season 7, Brooke made mistake after mistake, but made it to the top 5.
The worst Brooke White moment for me was during the Andrew Lloyd Webber week. Lord Andrew said she didn’t have a clue what she was singing.
After he explained the song to Brooke, he was very pleased; probably up until she actually performed it and screwed up.
Brooke White wasn’t my favorite American Idol contestant, but she obviously has many fans.

Brooke White is on the American Idols Tour now, but that’s not all she is doing.
Brooke has released “Songs from the Attic”, her debut album from 2006. Bonus tracks include “Dream On” by Aerosmith and “Yellow” by Coldplay.

Remember Melinda Doolittle? Video!
Melinda Doolittle was an American Idol season 6 contestant. She didn’t have much confidence during her audition, but she blew the judges away with her voice.

Melinda Doolittle placed third on American Idol season 6, just under Blake Lewis and winner Jordin Sparks.
On Good Morning America Simon Cowell said Melinda Doolittle should have won season 6 of American Idol.
Entertainment Weekly is reporting Melinda Doolittle has signed a record deal with Hi Fi Recordings.
Her debut album will be released this fall, but no exact date is being reported.
