Idol Contestant David Cook | Will He Have His Hands Full Of Dolly Parton?

David Cook will definitely have his hands full when he performs this week. Dolly Parton will be mentoring the Idol contestants as they will be singing her hit songs on Tuesday.

David Cook was amazing when he performed Billie Jean on American Idol last week. Randy said David's performance was the most bold and original and he and Paula said David Cook could win the whole thing. Simon also agreed and said David's performance was absolutely amazing.

Will the judges be amazed this week when the Idol contestants sing a Dolly Parton hit song? Just how amazing is David Cook and can he outperform last week? Which Dolly Parton hit should David put his rock spin on?

Hopefully David won't sing 9 to 5, as that one has been way overdone. I don't like country music at all, but I love the song Coat Of Many Colors. I'm just not sure how David could spin that one.

Well, Kristy Lee Cook is probably smiling, but I think David Cook will have his hands full of Dolly Parton this week. If he pulls this off and does a better job than Kristy or the other country singer types, it is going to be hilarious.

American Idol Rumors | Blame The Spanx?

American Idol certainly covered every rumor flying around, didn't they? So, did you buy any of it? I certainly didn't.

American Idol Contestant Blames The Spanx!

I can believe that Carly Smithson is not pregnant, but to blame Spanx for her "deer in headlights" glaze? It is so ridiculous; you almost have to believe it. But, that's what she told Ryan Seacrest, so it must be true. Right...

I'm sure the makers of Spanx are very happy with that excuse. Since this product was made for not only fashion, but comfort as well. I'm sure Sara Blakely will be the first one in line to buy one of your Cd's Carly.

But I Love That Song!

If you believe that's ridiculous, then you probably think the call in portion of American Idol was a little too coincidental, as well. One call came in for Idol contestant David Archuleta asking him why he chose to sing "You're The Voice" by David Foster. He said that was his favorite song. Okay David, totally believe that.

I almost stopped watching the show after it was announced that Brooke and Carly were safe instead of at least landing in the bottom 3, but it's like a train wreck, ya just can't stop.

The Bottom 3 Were

Chikezie, Syesha Mercado, and Jason Castro landed on the hot seats. I was shocked to see Syesha in the bottom 3 this week when she was so outstanding singing "If I Were Your Woman" the night before. All the judges gave her rave reviews, and they were all pretty much confused by this outcome as well.

When it was all said and done, Chikezie got the boot. Simon Cowell told him to not underestimate how smart the public are who watch this show. Well, they can't be too smart if Syesha landed in the bottom 3, Simon.

That's another American Idol results show, leaving us with 9 Idol hopefuls. Remember Idol Gives Back is scheduled for April 9, 2008. Don't let the fact that Brad Pitt will be there deter you from watching. Just remember it is for charity, so we can stomach him for one night.

American Idol | Pregnancy-Winner-Dad From Hades Rumors?

Wow, I watch American Idol and wake up reading all sorts of rumors about a few of our Idol contestants. One of the rumors flying around is that an Idol contestant is pregnant. Alleged mom to be? Carly Smithson. Is that why she looked like a deer in headlights after her performance and Simon said she was too tense?

Apparently some old news that I'm just hearing is that David Archuleta's dad, Jeff, is a stage dad from Hades. These rumors state that Jeff Archuleta screams at David backstage, and he also harassed contestants on Star Search, getting him kicked off the lot!

Do we already have our American Idol winner? According to the buzz around the Net we do, and his name is David Cook. He put a total original spin on the song Billie Jean, and it definitely worked!

So, let's get to the recap of last night's "Year They Were Born" show:

Ramiele Malubay was born on 9-6-87, and she sang Alone by Heart. Sort of boring, then she kicked it up, but I guess she was either sick or she lost her voice.

  • Randy said it wasn't the right song choice.
  • Paula said she hopes Ramiele will stay.
  • Simon said it wasn't as bad as Randy thought and she will make it through. Then him and Randy got into it a bit. lol

Jason Castro was born on 3-31-87, and he sang Fragile by Sting. I wasn't impressed. He is either a squeaker, or he struggles too much, or something. And Simon was right.

  • Randy said it was a very good song choice.
  • Paula said he is staying true to himself
  • Simon said he has had 2 bad weeks and he needs to get serious.
Syesha Mercado was born on 1-2-87 and she sang If I Were Your Woman by Stephanie Mills. I just love her baby cry imitation, and I also loved her performance.
  • Randy said it was the best she ever sounded; stellar
  • Paula said everyone will remember this one
  • Simon said it was the best so far, but there's a limit on her vocals

Chikezie was born on 9-11-85 and he sang If Only For One Night by Luther Vandoss. He was cute. It looks like he's got some "groupies." I didn't care for the song, but he did okay.

  • Randy didn't love it for him. It was old-school and boring
  • Paula disagreed but I am not sure exactly what she said. Can we ever?
  • Simon said the performance was very cheesy.

Brooke White was born on 6-2-83 and she sang Every Breath You Take by The Police. She killed the song. She screws up and it's professionalism; David Archuleta screws up and it's the end of the world. I think they both need to leave, but only one can go tonight.

  • Randy didn't love the arrangement
  • Paula enjoyed this week more than last week
  • Simon agreed with Randy and didn't like the arrangement

Michael Johns was born on 10-20-78 and he sang We Are The Champions by Queen. I thought he did okay, but the background singers sucked!

  • Randy said it was his best performance since he has been on the show
  • Paula said it was his shining moment
  • Simon said he saw star potential and tonight he just got it right

Carly Smithson was born on 9-12-83 and she sang Total Eclipse Of The Heart by Bonnie Tyler. I didn't like the performance and I thought she looked very strange afterwards.

  • Randy didn't love it. He thought it was the wrong song choice
  • Paula loved what she did
  • Simon said something didn't work

David Archuleta was born on 12-28-90 and he sang You're The Voice by David Foster. I don't think his voice is that strong, and I bet his dad picked this one. Bad choice dad!

  • Randy said it was very nice
  • Paula said he could sing the phone book and we would all love it
  • Simon said it was reminiscent of a theme park performance, and he didn't know who chose that song, but that song was not him.

Kristy Lee Cook was born on 1-18-84 and she sang God Bless The USA by Lee Greenwood. I still don't think she has a very strong personality, but I love that song, so Simon really hit the nail on the head.

  • Randy said it was a great song choice, but it was pitchy
  • Paula said it was a good song choice
  • Simon said it was the most clever song choice ever, and this was her best performance by a mile.

David Cook was born on 12-20-82 and he sang Billie Jean by Michael Jackson. Wow! What a performance. If you missed it, you really need to hit youtube.com and search for it. Just incredible.

  • Randy said it was the most original, most bold (performance) and he might win the whole lot
  • Paula said he was smart, brave, willing, and brilliant and he can win it
  • Simon said he was brave and absolutely amazing

There you have it, which American Idol contestant do you think is getting the boot tonight? And which rumor do you believe? Vote now!

American Idol | Goodbye Amanda Overmyer

American Idol said goodbye to Amanda Overmyer last night. Although Amanda has her faults, she at least impressed us once, not like Kristy Lee Cook who has done nothing to impress us... ever. Something strange is going on in my opinion.

They tried to stretch the results show for an hour including segments of Elliott Yamin having a baby named after him in Africa last year, and Simon saying he would kiss Paula again because she is a good kisser. I did like Kelly Pickler, though, she's always fun.

The Bottom 3 Were?

Carly Smithson, Kristy Lee Cook, and Amanda Overmyer were in the bottom 3 this week. They all deserved to be there, but I was hoping Kristy or Carly would be leaving first.

Not much to say other than goodbye Amanda Overmyer, hopefully Kristy and Carly will be following soon.

3 American Idol Contestants Give Back To Simon!

3 American Idol contestants bring new meaning to Idol Gives Back, when they "gave back" to Simon during last nights show. Usually, the contestants take their criticism as mature, responsible adults, willing to learn from the experts. Not so with 3 of the Idol contestants last night.

3 Of Top 11 Give Back

Amanda Overmyer sang Back In The USSR. Although I doubt she will be our next American Idol, at least she isn't annoying me anymore. Randy said perfect song choice, but can only give the performance a 7 out of 10. Paula said she was a little ahead of the beat. Simon said it was predictable.

Kristy Lee Cook sang You've Got To Hide Your Love Away. Her low notes made me cringe, and it sounded like the band stopped before she did? Randy and Paula said it was safe. Simon said she needs hypnosis because she is not a good performer, that she makes no impact. This is when Kristy gives back to Simon! She told him that she would blow Simon out of his socks. Well, you know where that went. Sorry girl, pack your bags, it's time to go.

David Archuleta sang The Long And Winding Road. He was doing okay pulling his mic away so we didn't have to listen to him breathe, but that didn't last long. Randy said he brought hotness back to the game. Paula said it was his most exciting performance. Simon said last week was a complete mess, this week was amazing.

Michael Johns sang A Day In The Life. I thought he did pretty good, but of course the judges disagreed. Randy said it wasn't the right song. Paula said something about monitors in his ears when he didn't have any. Simon said it was a mess.

Brooke White sang Here Comes The Sun. Still smug until the judges critiquing. Randy said the performance was awkward. Paula said she played it safe. Simon said the performance was terrible. Wet. Forgettable. Then miss smug gives it back to Simon. Her arrogant attitude quickly turned into "oh, poor me" claiming her "whoo" slipped out, and other excuses for a poor performance.

David Cook sang Day Tripper. He was fantastic. Randy said another solid look, although maybe not his best performance. Paula said he is ready to sell records, and do a Geico commercial? Simon said he wasn't as good as he thought, and that he looked smug. No Simon, the one before him looked smug.

Carly Smithson sang Blackbird. The accent is so annoying. I wish it would go away as fast as it came. Randy said very nice; cooliosis? Paula said amazing tone. Simon was correct saying it was not the right song and it was indulgent. Idol contestant number 3 gives back to Simon with some whiny, sappy speech of why she chose the song. Go home tattoo girl, you're done.

Jason Castro sang Michelle. I didn't think he was bad, but not all that great either. Randy said it was just "aight." Paula said he has a distinct charm. Simon said that his face sold the performance. He is charming and not obnoxious.

Syesha Mercado sang Yesterday. I thought she fought with the high notes. Randy said very, very, very good performance. Paula said she needs to work on connecting with the audience. Simon said best performance so far, and she chose the right song.

Chikezie sang I Just Seen A Face. Not sure what Randy said. Something about good points and fast points? Paula disagreed with him anyway, and said it was pure and on pitch. Simon said once he started playing the harmonica, it turned into achy, breaky house and it was gimmicky.

Ramiele Malubay sang I Should Have Known Better. She did okay. Randy like it and loved her confidence. Paula said it was better than last week. Simon said it sounded like Chikezie on harmonica?

There you have it, the top 11 Idol contestants, including the 3 American Idol contestants who gave back to Simon. Please, let's "give back" to one of these 3 Idol contestants and send them packing!

American Idol | Discover 10 Secrets

I came upon an article on Billboard.com regarding 10 secrets about an American Idol taping. They say that unless you are physically at one of their tapings, you would have no idea American Idol does these things.

10. They say the set is huge. I thought that by just watching TV, but they say "momentous."

9. During commercial breaks, audience members are invited up on stage to make fools of themselves, to win iTunes gift cards.

8. Simon doesn't rile the folks. I'm not exactly sure what they are saying here, but the contestants family members don't react to Simon.

7. The orchestra wears fancy shirts or vests, but from the waist down it's just jeans and Uggs.

6. Ryan tries to make a big deal how very, very nervous the bottom three are, but Syesha and Kristy were spinning on their chairs and giggling.

5. Katharine McPhee's performance was shot in a way to specifically not show the back of her dress. Something about he color was looking transparent under the lights. I don't know, but her dress was just a long shirt in my opinion.

4. Randy, Paula, and Simon get escorted on and off the stage area by bodyguards.

3. The bottom 3 is no fun. Ramiele was really looking truly worried, and David Cook and Amanda Overmyer went to comfort her. I knew David was a sweetheart!

2. Jim Carrey stayed and watched the entire show. He didn't plug and scram.

1. The segment with the phone calls and McPhee's performance was actually taped. Audience members had to get there way before the live show started. If you're on the ball, you noticed that Syesha and Kristy were back on the couches when they panned the contestants.

American Idol Baby Burst?

Is there an American Idol baby burst going on? Or do we just keep getting bombarded with the same stories over and over?

If you haven't heard, "my boy" Idol runner-up Bo Bice and his wife Caroline Fisher are expecting their second child in August of this year. August must be a good time for babies, as I will be welcoming my first grand-baby in August, too.

Bo and Caroline were married in 2005, and later that year, welcomed their first son, Aidan. Bo stated that Aidan has helped him grow and be a better person. You can read more about this story
HERE. Congrats to Bo and Caroline, and Aidan, too!

Ok, I have nothing against Paula Abdul, I think she is a sweet person, but I was a bit taken aback by the article I read. The article states that Paula wants children, and is looking at adoption.

All fine and good, but for one, I hope her "dopey" act on American Idol is just that, an act. For two, I hope she lives a long time because she will be pushing 50 before she is ready, according to the article.

There's nothing wrong with older parents, but you do have to think of the children. As in, when my child is a teenager and needs me the most, or when my child graduates high school, I'll be pushing 70.

70 years old isn't severely old if you've taken care of yourself... that's all I'm sayin'. Anyway, read more about Paula and her baby story, HERE.

Katharine McPhee | So Glad I Wasn't In The Front Row!

What was former Idol Katharine McPhee thinking? Everyone's talking today how Katharine McPhee looked uncomfortable tugging at her dress. No, she was LOOKING for her dress! Obviously someone swiped half of it, because what she had on was no where near a full dress.

Thank goodness I wasn't in the front row! David Foster was so supportive of her talent, yeah, ok. Burning question, why was she singing a George Harrison song when it was the Lennon/McCartney theme week?

Jim Carey was there in a Horton The Elephant costume or something like that. Not sure how that fit in to the Idol show, but to each his own.

The Ford commercial "We're Going The Distance" was pretty cute, with all the Idols running around with their political signs and holding babies.

Viewers were able to call in and talk with the Idols or judges, but that ended up a bit amateurist when they put the question on the big board for everyone to see. So, we saw which ones Ryan skipped over and we saw Ryan looking a bit dense asking the caller their question when it was right in front of all of us. A little more thought should have went into that one, guys.

We finally got under way with the booting segment of the show. No big surprise. By now you probably already know that Syesha, Kristy, and David Hernandez were in the bottom three.

Also no big surprise when they sent Syesha back to sit down saying she was safe. I really thought, though, that Kristy would be going home this week. David has had bad weeks and better weeks, where Kristy has been consistently in the bottom of the pile.

This week we say good-bye to Idol David Hernandez. But, I loved David Cook, and he's still around, so that's all good.

Who will be be saying good-bye to next week? Will it be Kristy in the bottom again? Or will David Archuleta choke on another song?

Ryan Seacrest Or David Archuleta? | Which One Shocked You More?

So, Ryan Seacrest or David Archuleta... Which one shocked you more? American Idol's top 12 started their first performance with a bigger and better set. It is gorgeous, complete with an awesome light show and a mosh pit. Even the band has there own spot.

While all that is fun to see, Ryan Seacrest and David Archuleta sort of made the show, and not in a good way, but a shocking, fun, let's gossip about this, way. Ryan acted like he was on whatever Paula is usually on, yet couldn't handle it, and David just flat out bombed tonight.

So, let's recap last nights Lennon McCartney Songbook Theme performances:

Syesha Mercado sang Got To Get You Into My Life. I like her, she made it her own, and did a great job. Randy said nice arrangement, although it started rough, it was "aight." Paula said it started pitchy, but found her zone. Simon said he thought it was better than "aight" but she looked nervous.

Chikezie Eze sang She's A Woman. Not sure, but I thought he sounded more like screaming. Randy was thoroughly entertained and said he smashed it. Paula said several things that really didn't say anything, then said she's been waiting for this. Simon said he was surprised that he agreed with Randy and Paula, and thought he was terrific.

Then Ryan flipped out and started running around the stage, telling Chikezie to own it among other things, and then Ryan grabbed Chikezie's head! What the heck, Ryan? If you can't handle whatever you're on, get off now!

Ramiele Malubay sang In My Life. The poor thing sang a slow song after that hoopla with Ryan. She didn't stand a chance. Randy said it was pretty boring. Paula said it was too safe. Simon said he was bored to tears, and he expected better from her. Dreary song choice.

Jason Castro sang If I Fell. Sounded to me like he was struggling with the notes, and was he "huffing" some of the words? Strange. Randy liked it not loved it. Paula disagreed with Randy and we were shocked by that alone. Said she feels his heart. Simon said it was "a little bit student at midnight in a bedroom." He thinks he'll make it another week, though.

Carly Smithson sang Come Together. The song was okay, but she just annoys me with that thick, fake accent. It gets thicker as the weeks go on. Randy said stellar performance. Paula thought she was already watching a star. Simon said that performance reminded him of another... Kelly Clarkson.

David Cook sang Eleanor Rigby. I love his voice. Randy said pitch problems at the beginning, but then he rocked it out. Paula said thoroughbred??? Simon thought it was brilliant. He said if this was just a talent competition and not a popularity contest, he could win.

Brooke White sang Let It Be. Surprisingly she didn't annoy me too much, but I swear I heard her voice crack a few times. Randy said he is a fan. Paula said something about feeling her heart again. Little creepy, Paula. Simon said brilliant song choice; best performance of the night.

David Hernandez sang I Saw her Standing There. He can't hit very high or low notes. Randy said it was too overdone. Paula also said he overdid the song. Simon said, no, no, no. It was corny verging on desperate and then he told the audience to shut up! hahahahha...

Amanda Overmyer sang You Can't Do That. I didn't like the song, but she was okay. Why did she look different tonight??? Randy said true mark of a great song. Rocked out in a Southern bar. Paula said it blew her away; yeah, okay. Simon didn't think she was as good as last week and this time told Paula to shut up! hahahahhaha

Then an argument and bashing began a bit between the judges and Ryan.

Michael Johns sang Across The Universe. It was a boring song/performance. Randy said it was a little sleepy. Paula disagreed with him again (I think she liked all the gasps the first time she said that) and said he had a quiet confidence. Simon agreed with Randy.

Kristy Lee Cook sang Eight Days A Week. She did it country style and it bombed. It really sounded odd. Randy said he liked the arrangement, not the vocals. Paula said she didn't enjoy it. Simon said it was horrendous... like Dolly Parton on helium. hahahha, oh Simon.

David Archuleta sang We Can Work It Out. Well, most of it. He forgot the lyrics! A lot! And he still breathes too loud. Randy said not on point this week. Paula said wasn't his best week. Simon hit the nail on the head when he said it was a mess. His weakest performance so far.

So, who is going home? Did David's forgetfulness put him at the bottom? Or maybe David Hernandez's overdone song, or Kristy Lee Cook's country style? Or someone else? Let the voting begin.

Who Is Going Home?

What Really Happened To Danny Noriega?

So, what really happened to Danny Noriega? Why was he really eliminated? I am thinking now it had nothing to do with his singing ability or lack of. He was another Sanjaya that for whatever reason, he was going to go far in this competition.

Think about it. Most everyone loved him, and if they didn't love him, they loved his antics, his sass, and his attitude. There's also the site called votefortheworst.com who pride themselves on getting the "worst" idol hopeful far into the competition. They take credit for Sanjaya making it so far, and they were voting their hearts out for Danny Noriega.

So, why on Earth with all that going for him, whether good or bad, was he eliminated? Well, I saw a news video today on the Internet and they were doing an interview with Asia'h and Danny. One little snip I caught was Danny being asked if he thought "that YouTube video he did had anything to do with his leaving."

It was a very quick question that was more than brushed over, so curious me went looking for the video. Well, all I have to say is, yeah, maybe that video had a bit to do with him getting the axe. I won't put a link to it here, because it was nasty. Not the Christmas greeting that should come out of an Idol hopefuls mouth. If you really want to see it, I'm sure you can Google it like I did.

Anyway, I don't think Rosie O'Donnell has seen the video, she loves him and wants him to sing on her cruise ship or something like that. Well, take care, I'm sure we will be seeing a lot more of you Danny Noriega.

American Idol Top 12 | Were You Surprised?

American Idol sure dragged the Top 12 show out last night, but we finally have our top 12 Idol hopefuls! How did you do, were you surprised? Like every other results show, I was surprised, not surprised, and a bit confused.
Blake Lewis started the top 12 show off with some song. I sure don't miss that "b-bop" crap that's for sure. After Blake was finished, we had to sit through how Paula is number one on iTunes, and how Simon Cowell is not capable of saying the word congratulate.

But, we finally got underway with all the dramatics they could muster. Ryan Seacrest alternated between 3 guys, then 3 girls, with a few million commercial breaks in between.

You can say good bye to the following four:

Kady Malloy - not surprised by this one
Luke Menard - also not very surprised
Asia'h Epperson - surprised and a bit confused by this one
Danny Noriega - I think Chikezie was more surprised than I was. I thought he was going to faint!

Here is a little slide show of the top 12 for your enjoyment.

American Idol Top 8 Girls | Vote Who Is Leaving!

American Idol's top 8 girls performed last night and tonight we get to watch 2 of these top 8 girls head for home. Which 2 girls do you think are leaving? Don't forget to cast your vote below!

I was a bit surprised at tonight's performances, although there was no wow factor, I totally didn't mind Amanda Overmyer's performance like I have every single time in the past. It wasn't super fantastic, but it was pretty good!

So, a recap of American Idol's top 8 girls follows:

Asia'h Epperson sang I Wanna Dance With Somebody. I love this girl, but she sounded a bit strained tonight. Randy said it was hot, Paula said she nailed it, Simon said it was a 2nd rate rendition of Whitney Houston.

Kady Malloy sang Who Wants To Live Forever. I like Kady, too, but I thought tonight's performance wasn't that great. Randy said she did pretty good, Paula said it was her best performance, and Simon said better than last week, but she has no personality.

Amanda Overmyer sang I Hate Myself For Loving You. Don't faint, but I liked it! I liked her attitude, her hair, her singing, everything! Now if she would just smile!!! Randy said, "Well done, baby!" Paula said she picked the right song, and Simon said fantastic!

Carly Smithson sang I Drove All Night. I did not like it at all. Her "all of a sudden" accent is a bit ridiculous, too. Randy said it was very good, Paula said, "Dude, dependable dog." (?) Simon said she didn't choose the right song.

Kristy Lee Cook sang Faithfully. I didn't like this one either, it was boring. Randy said he liked it, Paula said she hit it, but Simon said she's forgettable. I agree.

Ramiele Malubay sang Against All Odds. I really liked her performance. Randy got her name wrong a few times, then finally said she had no confidence. Paula said a ton of stuff I still have yet to figure out. Simon said she was little and cute, but old fashioned and predictable.

Brooke White sang Love Is A Battlefield. I don't care if she was good or bad, she is way too cocky and she really needs to go home now! Randy liked it, Paula said it was a wise song choice, and Simon said she made the song hers.

Syesha Mercada sang Saving All My Love For You. I liked her. She is pretty and she has a good voice. I think they ran out of time after Paula's babbling earlier, because all the judges said was Good.

There's the top 8 girls, and although I would love to see Brooke White and Carly Smithson leaving tonight, I sadly think it is going to be Kady Malloy and Ramiele Malubay.

American Idol Top 8 Men | Vote Who Is Leaving!

American Idol's top 8 men performed last night and once again it is time to vote for the two you think will be leaving this week. No one performance really stood out for me this week, and again, I disagreed more than agreed with the judges.

Luke Menard sang Wake Me Up Before You Go Go, and I thought he did pretty good. Randy said it was ok, but corny. Paula was surprised and then went off into never never land. Simon said he wouldn't make it to the top 12.

David Archuleta sang Another Day In Paradise, and his breathing is still annoying. Randy said it was nice, Paula is still a bit incoherent, and Simon said it wasn't as good as last week.

Danny Noriega sang Tainted Love. I agreed with the judges who said it started off bad following up with Simon saying everything was useless.

David Hernandez sang It's All Coming Back. I wonder if that was a "perfect" song choice considering the story leak? Randy said nice song choice but pitchy. Paula yea, ok. Simon didn't like it as much as last week but thought he secured a spot for next week.

Michael Johns sang Don't You Forget About Me. I thought it sucked. He was screaming way too much. Randy loved it. Paula still can't get her words out. Simon like it/loved it.

David Cook sang Hello. All 3 judges thought it was brilliant and they loved it.

Jason Castro sang Hallelujah. I didn't like it, but the judges did. Randy said it was a tall order. Paula is still fumbling over her words. Simon said it was absolutely brilliant.

Chikezie Eze sang All The Woman That I Need. Randy and Paula liked it, but Simon thought it was too much cabaret.

For me, the most entertaining of all of them was Paula. She couldn't a word out edgewise. I want whatever she's on, because it looks like a good time. I just won't go in public!

Ok, out of the top 8 men, which 2 are going home leaving the rest in the top 12 lineup?

David Hernandez 1st Performance Tonight Since "The Story" Broke!

I can't wait for tonight's American Idol episode, especially David Hernandez's performance. This will be his first performance since "the story" broke. Will David defend himself or just spout something witty?

David Hernandez once had a job at a certain men's club. Apparently, David Hernandez was sort of a celebrity and a favorite at this club. It wasn't for his singing ability, however, nor his wardrobe choice.

David didn't have to worry about a wardrobe malfunction because his wardrobe didn't stay on very long; it was sort of a prerequisite of his job.

I feel bad for David Hernandez because I think he is a pretty good singer. Not good enough to be our next American Idol, but he is now famous for something he probably wants to forget, or wants everyone else to forget.

So, let's all listen listen closely tonight to see who says something first. Will it be David Hernandez himself? Ryan Seacrest because he needs the attention? Simon Cowell because he just can? Anyway, you can read the whole story HERE.

American Idol Gives Back In 2008

Ryan Seacrest announced on last week's results show that American Idol will once again have the Idol Gives Back show in 2008. Idol Gives Back is a charity show to give back to people in poverty in Africa and The United States.

During the Idol Gives Back show, donations are made for every vote that is cast on that episode, celebrities also give quite large donations, and more. It is a great way for everyone to get involved, at least by voting, which can be done via phone or the Internet.

Ryan also revealed some of the celebrities that will appear on this years Idol Gives Back like Brad Pitt and Mariah Carey, but we won't hold that against the show. More likable celebrities like Mylie Cyrus, Reese Witherspoon, Chris Daughtry, Carrie Underwood, and Snoop Dog will also appear on the show.

So, look for the American Idol Gives Back show to air April 9, 2008, and do your part by at least voting.
